GitHub Updater is an Open Source project by Andy Fragen. It’s a simple plugin to enable automatic updates to your GitHub, Bitbucket, or GitLab hosted WordPress plugins and themes. It also allows for the remote installation of plugins or themes.
GitHub Updater is and has been a project that has taught me much and more importantly helped others with their work. Try it out and see if it doesn’t save you time and energy with your own development projects.
